  1. Still waiting for Management to complete changes to D. Salary Ranges before initialed published collective bargaining agreement is available.

Health and Welfare Fund Report – Mike Storey

  1. Health and Welfare Trust (HWT) Notes: December 17, 2021 meeting
    1. Metlife reports a 90% loss ratio from July-Oct, 2021. Pretty normal for this time period. No issues with MTA claims.
    2. The Gray Group reposts that the Fund is doing well. Equities are performing well with a 13.5% increase this year. Fund has increased an average of 11% over last 5 years. Commodities are a good investment during an inflation.
    3. KD/HPI reports that enrollment in the plan is down 5% from 9267 in March to 8792 in November. Caused by positions where employees have left or been eliminated across the state have not been filled.
    4. Treasurer reports that Fund has moved from E. Boston Savings to Rockland Trust. Recommendation is to move Fund to Salem 5 from Rockland Trust because the team we worked with at E. Boston Saving is now working there and they are more receptive to Funds the size of the HWT.
    5. Passed revised Travel policy for any trustees to attend Fund business or conferences across the country.Next meeting – February
